Overview:
Join Azra AI on its mission to improve healthcare through innovative applications of natural language processing (NLP). At Azra AI, we enable health systems to enhance clinical workflows by analyzing pathology and radiology reports in real-time, identifying the presence and type of cancer, and automating registry abstraction through text extraction. These reports are presented to clinicians in an intuitive workflow tool, allowing them to provide timely care to patients while focusing on what they do best—saving lives.
Your Adventure at Azra AI:
The AI/ML Engineer will be responsible for developing, fine-tuning, and integrating AI and machine learning models. This role focuses on using off-the-shelf AI models and building custom AI solutions to meet the needs of our healthcare applications. You will collaborate with the data engineering and MLOps teams to ensure seamless deployment and scaling of models in production environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and fine-tune machine learning models for healthcare-specific use cases.
- Leverage off-the-shelf AI models (e.g., from GCP Vertex AI) and integrate them into production environments.
- Perform model evaluation, optimization, and tuning to ensure high accuracy and performance.
- Collaborate with data scientists, data engineers, and MLOps teams to deploy models into production.
- Use machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or equivalent.
- Continuously monitor and retrain models based on performance in production.
- Ensure model compliance with healthcare regulations and data security requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience working with AI and ML models.
- Strong experience with Python and machine learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Experience with cloud platforms, preferably GCP (Vertex AI, BigQuery).
- Understanding of healthcare data formats (HL7, FHIR) is a plus.
- Experience with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
